This cutie pie, Oakley, is a special pup. We aren't sure what happened to Oakley before his time at Pawfect Match Rescue but he does have some special needs. When he was picked up, it was determined that he was blind, was having difficulty standing and had demodex mange. Well now things have improved for this little guy and we couldn't be more pleased! He walks well on carpeted floors and is even mastering going up the stairs! His eyesight is almost fully normal and he loves to romp around in his foster mom's backyard. While Oakley's situation has progressed since we picked him up from the shelter, we are not sure if Oakley will ever be a typically functioning dog. Oakley loves to play, explore, and play tug-o-war like any other dog, but he is a bit uncoordinated and can struggle to get around. Oakley's ideal home will be with people who have patience and are willing to work with Oakley as he strengthens his leg muscles and overcomes the obstacles that come with a pup in his situation. He needs a calm house with a respectful doggy sibling or none at all. He loves his cat, dog and kid foster siblings but would do best with older, respectful children. Oakley will also be placed in a foster to adopt situation to give the family time to adjust to the lifestyle of having a "special needs" pup. He is house-trained, loves to cuddle, and is the happiest boy who deserves a loving home full of TLC!
