Elliott escaped a GA shelter the day before he was scheduled for euthanasia due to space and the influx of dogs due to COVID. It's a good thing for Elliott and a great thing for us and for his potential new family. He has the goofiest look and the prettiest party eye, which means one eye is half blue and half brown. He loves other dogs and LOVES to play. He is such a sweet loving boy. Here's what his foster family has learned so far about sweet Elliott.
He is wonderful on the leash, and rarely pulls. If someone enjoys jogging with dogs, he keeps a perfect pace with you.
He's a good listener, doesn't quite know his name yet so could be changed if wanted. He also found his voice but only barks when he feels necessary mostly to get your attention. He has not barked with the ringing of the doorbell.
He is a quick learner, was afraid and unsure of the stairs when we first brought him home, but by day two is now a stair master, a little uncoordinated but in a cute way.
He knows the command "sit" and is quickly learning to give "paw".
He has only had two accidents in the house in the 4 days he's been with us, otherwise he has let us know it's time by sitting by the door.
He has slept through the night every night and only gets up when he hears you start to move around, then he gets playful and snuggly and ready for the day ahead.
He has been amazing with our dog Zeus, a 3 year old husky. Playing most of the day and being very sweet to one another. Elliott did just get neutered so he's still figuring out what's going on down there and has been corrected for humping but immediately responds when told no. He's good with other adults and dogs. He has not interacted with children yet but have not seen any reason for concern.
He's been a joy to have in the family and any family will be lucky to have him.
