Notes from her foster mama:

Daisy has such a gentle spirit. She would be a great companion for a senior or older couple but she’s great with her foster home dog and kids. She doesn’t engage with dog toys and we haven’t found any treats she likes yet, although she has chewed on a deer antler once. She’s doesnt play with or wrestle with our dog but seems to enjoy her company. She doesn’t jump up on people or dogs and rarely barks. Shes not a runner so you can open the front door without fear of her bolting. In fact she’s more inclined to go in the other room when people come over until she feels safe to come out or we call her. She shy and paces some as she’s naturally a little anxious; if you are up moving around so is she. She follows me everywhere I go! She prefers the company of humans and doesn’t like a crate or being alone. When left alone she paces a lot, waiting anxiously for us to return. She will do really well with a family that works from home, stay at home mom or retired.

**She wouldn’t be a good fit for someone who needed to leave her alone all day while at work.** I work from home and she loves sleeping on the floor in my office and going outside often.

She’s not motivated by food….but she loves head rubs! She will nudge your hand with her nose to get your attention for rubs. She will get up on some furniture but not often and seems to prefer the floor or a pet bed and I think could be easily trained to avoid furniture altogether. She’s not a jumper. When she does get up on furniture it’s one foot at a time.

She loves to be outside in fenced yard and sometimes needs coaxing to come inside. She can walk on a leash with a harness and prefers a slow pace. **She would not be a good companion for a runner but great for a slow walker**. She likes to walk behind you and needs training to walk beside you. We don’t have cats so not sure how she would do but if I had to guess I think she would be fine…indifferent towards one.
