Can you give Sadie a forever home?
This sweet baby began her life in a puppy mill. She was part of a very large rescue from the Midwest. She is a labradoodle. She flew in and was fostered. Then immediately became a foster fail during her first bath.
She was sooooo grimy, terrified and oh so skinny! Her foster fell instantly in love with her vulnerable heart. Her first bath took a very long time as she needed four full head to toe scrubs. At the end, while still soaking wet she just seemed to exhale and curl up in her fosters lap while still in the tub. Love at first bath!
Then a trip to the vet for a clean bill of health except for an ear infection. She was such a trooper. It was months of love and reassurance as she figured out how to be loved and be able to eat. She remains a bit anxious and will come for a snuggle when scared.
She has made numerous friends along the way. But she has to be managed. She is a bit slow to respond and doesn’t always understand expectations. She continues to work on simple commands such as sit or down. She has come a looooooong way with housebreaking but she needs more.
She greets life mouth first. She loves to make friends but has a tough time reading social cues from other dogs. She greets other animals with a kind heart and intention but likes to taste things first (other foster babies and most recently couches) so care should be shown.
She absolutely looooooves to run!!! She is like a greyhound!!! Very very fast! She has amazing recall and wants very much to please. Her favorite thing is hugs! She will wrap her arms around and burrow her head in for GIANT HUGS and snuggles. She is absolutely a girlie girl and prances rather than walks.
Sadly her foster/adoptive Mom realizes she can not give Sadie the consistency or space she so desperately needs. And that sometimes, true love means letting go. She has been spayed and is ready to move on to her BEST LIFE!
