Fergie has a beautiful disposition to match her beautiful "blue" coat.  She is cuddly and affectionate - often forgetting what a powerhouse she really is.  Fergie walks well on a leash and also travels well in a vehicle.

This sweet girl has been assessed with other dogs and she shows polite sniffing behavior when introduced correctly to low-keyed and well-mannered dogs.  When walking, she behaves more calmly when not passing other dogs on the same sidewalk (so we cross the street to allow for adequate comfort zones).  She is happiest when spending time with her human "pack"; this includes helping you pick up sticks in the yard, watching late night television, or finding a sunny spot on the deck to enjoy beside your chair.  Typical to the breed, she is very responsive to positive reinforcement.  She has quickly caught on to crate training and is one of the easiest dogs to bath, as she enjoys the rubbing and attention, and seems to like the smell of a good shampoo, too! 

Fergie's ideal home would have her as an only dog or in a home with a non-aggressive play buddy, a secure fenced-in yard for potty breaks, and children over 10 years of age that are dog-savvy. Fergie isn't big on hiking and strenous exercise, but she's happy to stroll around the block with you and visit with the neighbors.
