Meet Riley: an energetic, loving one-year-old Australian Cattle Dog/Australian Shepherd

mix. Riley is a well-trained, obedient, smart, playful dog with a lot to offer his forever

family. He earned his AKC Star Puppy designation, graduated from a Puppy Confidence

and Pre-Agility class, knows many commands, performs reliably off-leash, and shows a

ton of potential for competing in dog sports and obedience competitions. He loves toys,

bones, hikes, agility training, playing catch with his beloved Frisbee, and learning new

tricks.

He gets along very well with dogs at day care and the dog park, but he is being re-
homed because he couldn’t get along with his canine brother – so, Riley will need to

be adopted by a family who only wants one dog. He has a feline brother, too, and they

play very well together, so cats are not a problem. Riley hasn’t been around very many

children, but he likes the kids he sees at the park or around town. Riley is used to a lot

of exercise and activity, so he’ll need a home where he can run and play for at least an

hour each day – herding breeds do best with a strong human leader and lots of mental

and physical stimulation. Riley has been neutered and is up-to-date on all of his medical

care. He’s shy with new people, but once he warms up, he’ll cuddle his way into your

heart (and your lap!)
